Transfer means transportation of passengers and their baggage from the departure airport to the arrival airport by one, two, or more airlines with a transit stop at Vnukovo Airport.

How We Handle Transfer Passengers
Transfer means transportation of passengers and their baggage from the departure airport to the arrival airport by one, two, or more airlines with a transit stop at the Vnukovo Airport.
Transfer baggage is the baggage checked and carried by one or two airlines via different flights and handled from one aircraft to another at the transfer airport — Vnukovo.
Through Check-in is a check-in of passengers and their baggage at the departure airport to their final destination.
Vnukovo Airport has all required technologies and means to service transfer passengers and their baggage. Agents at Transfer check-in counters will be happy to assist and provide all the necessary information.
All procedures are carried out in Terminal A of Vnukovo Airport:
- If you arrive at Vnukovo Airport via a connecting flight follow the Connecting Flights signs to find check-in counters for transfer passengers;
- At a check-in counter for transfer passengers, please provide your boarding pass issued at the departure airport. If you don’t have it, an agent will check in your ticket and issue a boarding pass. Then they will ask you to proceed to the control area/check-in point for pre-flight security screening;
- You can spend your time before the next flight in the waiting area, where you can visit cafes, shops, business lounge or nursery room;
- If your transfer baggage was checked in at the departure airport to the point of destination, it will be delivered on-board your aircraft, no further action is required.
If during the transfer you exit to the common area of the terminal or to the city, you will have to check in again at the check-in counters of Terminal A before boarding (if you haven’t checked in yet the second flight) and go through pre-flight security screening.
You must arrive at your boarding gate before the boarding end time stated in your boarding pass. If you transfer from an international flight to another international flight, from an international flight to a domestic flight, or from a domestic flight to an international flight, you will have to go through additional procedures related to crossing the state border of the Russian Federation that include:
- Customs control;
- Border control;
- Other types of state inspection (immigration, sanitary and quarantine, veterinary, phytosanitary) in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation, if necessary.
You can check in your baggage to your final destination at the airport of departure. Your baggage will be delivered to the next flight, no further action is required. During check-in at the departure airport, please clarify if you can check in baggage to the arrival airport.
If you travel without baggage, please follow the Connecting Flights signs and proceed to the transfer check-in counters to check in for the next flight.
