Vnukovo Airport welcomes a new partner

On June 20, 2024, Vnukovo International Airport welcomed the first flight of its new partner — Iran Airtour Airlines, which launched a flight program on the Tehran — Moscow (Vnukovo) route.

The new route gives passengers the opportunity to visit not only the capital of Iran. Imam Khomeini Airport, where aircrafts will arrive from Vnukovo, is an important aviation hub in the Middle East region. It opens many popular destinations to tourists and business travellers, including Dubai, Frankfurt am Main, London, Milan, Mumbai, Paris, Vienna, Doha and others.

The first flight of Iran Airtour Airlines was welcomed at Vnukovo with a traditional water arch of welcome. Its passengers received souvenirs from the airport and the airline.

The airport management congratulated the new partner on the start of flights and expressed confidence that this cooperation will develop as fruitfully as possible. Vnukovo International Airport is ready to provide Iran Airtour Airlines and its passengers with the highest quality ground handling services and excellent transfer opportunities.

Iran Airtour Airlines will fly to/from Vnukovo twice a month using wide-body Airbus A310-300 aircraft with the frequency of flights to be increased. Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased at https://en.iranairtour.ir/. Passengers can also check there current flight schedule and specify the time of departure.

Iran Airtour Airlines is a subsidiary of Iran Air, the major carrier of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It has a fleet of 12 passenger aircraft. The airline is a full member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and holds the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate.

Vnukovo International Airport is one of the largest air transportation hubs in Russia, handling about 200 thousand flights of Russian and foreign carriers every year.
