The 26th annual Wings of Russia national aviation award ceremony was held in Moscow. This professional award has gained the status of the industry’s most prestigious award, which recognizes industry leaders who have made the greatest contribution to the formation and development of the Russian air transportation market.
Vnukovo International Airport has won the nomination «Airport of the Year» by members of the expert council, which includes representatives of public and private companies, aviation authorities and mass media. All major airports of the country took part in the contest.

The airport complex with a total area of about 300 thousand square meters has a capacity of up to 35 million passengers per year. Vnukovo International Airport, as the only one among the airports in Russia, has received the gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for work achievements and high results in professional activities. In addition, Vnukovo Airport has been recognized as the best airport in the highest category «International Airport» of the national award «Air Gates of Russia» (part of the National Aviation Infrastructure Show, NAIS) for three years in a row.
